NGC6445 - Planetary Nebula in Sagittarius
  • Description: Also known as "The Box Nebula" in Sagittarius, after its unusual rectangular shape visually. A very cool nebula at 44 x 30 arc seconds glowing at magnitude 13.2. Located nearby is globular cluster NGC6440 - an nice visual target at mag 9.3 but compact at 4.4 arc minutes across. Tricky to resolve visually as stars are mag 16 and fainter.
