Messier 67 – Open Cluster in Cancer

  • Description: - One of the brightest and largest globular clusters in the sky. This one was tough to process due to the gradients from light pollution within the bright city, so I will try again another time from a darker site.

  • Camera: SBIG STT-8300M -35C sensor temperature

  • Filter: Baader LRGB

  • Scope: Astro-Physics 130EDT, 1085mm at f/8.35

  • Guiding: SBIG FW8G

  • Exposure: 5 each Luminance at 90s and Red Green and Blue at 300s per sub exposure

  • Location: Bright City of Calgary under Bortle 9 skies (17.38 MPSAS), -7C ambient temperature.

  • Exposure Date: 2023-03-21

  • Processed in PixInsight with NoiseXterminator, BlurXterminator and SPCC colour correction, then finished in Photoshop
