  • Description: - Designated M76 and NGC 650. A.K.A. The Little Dumbbell Nebula, The Little Barbell, and The Cork Nebula. A large magnitude 10 planetary nebular in Perseus. It is classed as a bipolar planetary nebula composed of a ring seen edge on as the central bar, and two lobes coming out the top and bottom of the ring, all ejected by the progenitor star which has since collapsed to a white dwarf. About 2500Ly away
