IC63
and 59 - Nebulae
around Gamma Cassiopeia

IC63 and 59 - collectively known as Gamma Cass Nebula
Here's the uncropped version for comparison - showing the challenges of keeping Gamma Cas (aka Na vi) in the frame

Camera: Apogee U16M camera w Astrodon Gen II filters
Scope: Planewave 12.5" CDK
Mount: Paramount ME (MKS5000)
Guiding: SBIG ST-402ME via Astrodon MMOAG
15/15/15 x 10min RGB, 33x10min Lum, a ridiculous number of 20min subs
of H-Alpha
Image acquisition using CCD-Commander, TheSkyX
Processing workflow on this was:
RGB: SPCC, BlurX, NoiseX, Curves, HistogramTransform then a Lightness
masked saturation boost of the highlights.
Luminance: BlurX, NoiseX, StarX then stretching the starless Luminance
then added the stars back
LRGBCombine in PI
H-Alpha: BlurX, NoiseX, StarX then stretching of the starless Ha using
HistogramTransformation and Curves
HaRGB_Combine process using the starless Ha and the LRGB for the RGB.
Moved to Photoshop and layered the original RGB over top of this
resultant HaLRGB and painted in the more muted and attractively
coloured Navi.
