Dark Nebula 1089 - LRGB

LDN
1089 is a dark
molecular cloud of dust in Cepheus. This
molecular cloud is part of our Milky Way galaxy.
21/20/21 x 10 min each of RGB, 87x10 min Luminance
Camera: Moravian G4 (16803) w Gen II Astrodon RGB and H-Alpha
Scope: Astrophysics AP155EDF Refractor w Focus Boss II
Mount: Paramount MX
Guiding SBIG ST402ME attached to a Borg 60mm guidescope
RGB and Luminance processing in PixInsight;
Then used Russ Croman's StarXTerminator to remove the stars from the
RGB and from the Luminance, stretched the starless images then put the
stars back (stretching them somewhat but separately).
Blend of Luminance w RGB in PixInsight. Moved to Photoshop, added
contrast via Curves. Moved to LR to add a linear gradient to darken the
upper right corner. Back to PS and Save-for-web.
