NGC1491 aka Sh2-206 -
Emission Nebula in
Perseus

The brightest part of the above photo is ngc1491 which is embedded in
the larger nebulosity known as Sh2-206 (Sharpless 206). This is an
RGB photo where H-Alpha data was added to the Red at 100% and to the
Blue at 20%. OIII was added to the Green and Blue, both at 50%. All
blends using Lighten mode.

Above is the pure RGB data. Below is the pure NB image made up as HOO (Hydrogen as Red., Oxygen as Blue and Green).

Above is the pure Narrowband image done as HOO (Hydrogen as Red, Oxygen as Green and Blue).
Below
is a typical NB+RGB combine where I've layered the RGB over the HOO
image, using Lighten blend mode in PS to recover stars with proper
colour and to smooth out the background.

Above is the HOO image with the RGB added on top of it to recover the stars' proper colours.
