Sh2-140 : Emission Nebula in Cepheus

From NOIRLab:
Sh2-140 is an HII emission nebula on the southwest edge of the Lynds
1204 dark nebula. It is also on the edge the Cephus Ring, a ring of
molecular gas and dust. Invisible in this image, there are about fifty
young stars deeply embedded in the dark gas in the lower-left corner of
the image.

Camera: Apogee U16M w Astrodon GenII LRGB
Mount: Paramount ME (MKS 5000 upgrade)
H-Alpha 6x20 min
R/G/B 6/7/6 x 10 min each
Images acquired w TheSkyX Professional and CCD-Commander
Processing in PixInsight:
- WBPP script
- H-Alpha processed further with BlurX, StarX then HT, Curves
and NoiseX on the Starless image
- RGB combine followed by SPCC, BlurX, HT and Curves,
NoiseX
Processing in Photoshop:
- RGB split into individual channels
- H-Alpha then layered onto Red @ 100% and Blue @20% using
Lighten blend mode
- Curves and Colour Balance
- cleanup
