Sh2-174 in HOO+RGB - Two Processings

Sh2-174 HOO+RGB

The above image was composed using the NBRGBCombine script in PixInsight. H-Alpha assigned to the Red channel at 100% and the OIII added to the Green and Blue at 50%.

Below is a newer style blending using the Foraxx script available in PixInsight. In this case the Ha and OIII were combined into a Narrowband image using the Foraxx script then the
Foraxx produced stars were added to the image using the pixel math formula to restore stars to starless images. I find this approach a distant second to the above but show it for
those who'd appreciate seeing the comparison.

Sh2-174 ranks as the most northern Sharpless objects at 81 degrees north. Sh2-178 very close to Polaris is most likely part of the galactic dust cloud above is just to the north of Sh2-174.
