- Description: Comet Hale/Bopp, July 13th 1996. The cluster of stars to the right of Hale-Bopp is
ngc6649, the blue smudge to the right of that is IC1287, a reflection nebula. The bright cluster in the
upper left of the picture is Messier 26. There are several prominent dark nebula here too - the largest is
Barnard 97. Down to its right is Barnard 94 and to the upper left is Barnard 100. A busy part of the sky!
