Messier 29 in Cygnus
Messier 29 in Cygnus
  • Description: Open Cluster M29 in Cygnus. A bright but compact open cluster, 50 stars in an area 6 arc minutes in diameter. Note the faint red nebulosity in the background. This is part of the Gamma Cygni complex which I was not expecting to pick up with this new camera but it could use more exposure time. A wide field view of this nebula is visible here. M29, also known as NGC6913, M29 is a magnitude 6.6 cluster of about 50 stars in a grouping 6 arc minutes across.
