M77 - Seyfert Galaxy in Cetus
  • Description: A small but bright Seyfert galaxy in Cetus. One of the few digital images taken with my home-made 8" Newtonian telescope. M77 (NGC1068) is a magnitude 9.6 galaxy, 7 x 6 arc minutes in size with a very bright nucleus.

  • Exposure: 3 x 20 minutes at -25C.
