- Description: M82 - Galaxy in Ursa Major. Fairly bright at magnitude 8.4,
11.2 x 4.3 arc minutes in size. Also known as NGC3034 and Herschel H IV-79. This filter,
in addition to some parts of the visual RGB spectrum, also passes near infra-red which
helps to capture as much signal as possible from light polluted skies. About 12 million
light years distant.
