  • Description: Planetary nebula in Ursa Major. M97 (NGC3587) is a really nice planetary nebula. Not the brightest target at 12th magnitude measuring in at 3.4 arc minutes across but is really nice in a large scope under dark skies or with a light pollution filter. Also known as NGC3587.

  • Camera: ZWO ASI533MM at -15C, gain 100.
  • Filters: Antlia 3nm Hydrogen-alpha and OIII (bi-colour)
  • Scope: Takahashi FSQ-106N
  • Mount: Astro-Physics AP900QMD
  • Guiding: ASI120MM off-axis via ASI Air+
  • Exposure: 12 x 5 Minutes per filter
  • Location: S.W. Calgary, Alberta
