  • Description: NGC2286 is an open cluster in Monoceros, also known as Collinder 117. It is a bit tricky to see in this shot but it is a magnitude 7.5 star cluster, about 14 arc minutes in size containing 50 stars.

  • Scope: 6" f4.5 Newtonian stopped down to a 5" f5.2.
