NGC4517 - Galaxy in Virgo
Description: A nice edge-on galaxy in Virgo. Bright at magnitude 11.1 and fairly large at 11 x 2 arc minutes. The fainter galaxy beside it is NGC4517A, fainter at magnitude 12.5 and 5 x 3.5 arc minutes. Film: Kodak hypered Tech Pan 2415 Scope: 8" f6 Newtonian Guiding: Off-axis guider, manual.
