- Description: Sharpless 119 is a really neat nebula but is usually overshadowed by its famous neighbour, the
North America Nebula. You can see the start of that nebula on the right side of this photo.
This photo is an OHH image, with hydrogen mapped to blue and green, OIII mapped to red. The resultant image was fed into
a Foraxx script producing these colours then RGB stars added.
- Camera: ZWO ASI2600MM Pro at -15C, gain 100
- Filter: Antlia RGB, 3nm H-alpha and OIII filters
- Scope: Askar SQA55, 264mm f4.8
- Mount: ZWO AM5N
- Exposure: 5 x 3 minutes RGB, 12 x 15 minutes h-alpha, 19 x 15 minutes OIII for 8.5 hours total.
- Guiding: ASI210MM via ZWO OAG
- System Control: ASI Air+
